Located in Terminal B of Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow, Russia, Rublev Business Lounge is a premium airport hospitality environment distinguished by its architectural design, extensive passenger facilities, and internationally recognized features.
Opened in 2018, the lounge spans approximately 2,608 square meters (28,072 square feet) and accommodates up to 456 guests. The interior includes dining areas, business facilities, relaxation zones, private sleeping accommodations, and dedicated spaces for families and children.
One of the lounge's defining features is its 34.07-meter (111.8-foot) continuous food counter, officially recognized by Guinness World Records in July 2018.
The interior architecture was developed by M+R Interior Architecture, a Netherlands-based design studio, following an architectural competition.
Inspired by Russian Constructivism and traditional onion-shaped domes, the design combines geometric architectural forms with contemporary airport hospitality requirements.
Sculptural, wood-clad dome structures divide the expansive interior into distinct seating and relaxation areas, creating a sense of privacy within the open-plan environment.
The architectural concept incorporates natural materials, decorative wall treatments, and dynamic lighting that responds to different times of day.
The design received international recognition, including a Silver A' Design Award in 2019 and recognition at the German Design Awards 2020 and the Architecture MasterPrize. These distinctions recognize the architectural design by M+R Interior Architecture.
NEODECOR™ contributed engineering, custom manufacturing, and installation services to Rublev Business Lounge at Sheremetyevo International Airport.
The project involved custom architectural and interior elements integrated into a complex hospitality environment featuring distinctive geometric forms and specialized interior detailing.
The execution required coordination between technical development, fabrication, and on-site installation to support the architectural concept and the operational requirements of a major international airport.
